Brooklyn, We Gots A Problem

Contrary to popular belief, just because I bought a condo in the D.C. area doesn’t mean that I plan on sticking around here forever. Been here over a decade now and I still haven’t found a decent vet, mechanic, or whatever you call those chicks who cut your hair. Stylist! Right, right. Anyway, I’ve always imagined that eventually the pervasive and complete la
ck of driving skills here beneath the Mason Dixon would be enough to shift my sights northward. Eventually.

But then this happened.

And then this happened.

The end of Astroland and the end of real pizza? A spa pedi is going to be easier to come by than a ride and a slice
in Coney Island? They're also doing away with the pirate ship and pizza?!? Oh no, say it ain't so!

Make mine extra hot with a heaping pile of your most effective and e
fficient artery clogging goodness. You know what, make it a double. It's going to be a long ride home.

This is why one of my new years resolutions was to do a photo essay of coney island this summer, before it's ruined.

You're a constant source of education for me. The word "Lohan" appeared in the NYT puzzle today, but I had no idea what it meant 'til I read your blog

There are other Nathan's, but probably yes...it means the 'original' goes the way of big business.
