Scott and Jason are in for a visit and we are desperately grasping at straws to determine our next activity. It's a rainy, muggy, day in our nation's capitol and we've already painted pigs so wtf is one to do?! Brian suggests riding the metro. Boy, does he know me or what?
We saw the new Charlie and the Chocolate factory (as promised, yay!) on Friday, which wrapped up a full (work) week of anniversary fun and giftings. I couldn't possibly do better than The Wall Street Journal's review by Joe Morgenstern; he said Charlie "gradually gives way to a peculiar state that I can only describe as engagement without enjoyment". I bet that pretty much sums up how Helena Bohnam Carter is feeling these days, too.
